Mutation? what is it? How does it happen? Is it by UV rays? Is it effective in the genes? can it cause Disorders? Why does it happen?

Mutation is one or multiple alterations in the structure of the DNA, i.e in the sequence of nucleotides that composes it. It can be produced by a variety of different things, being UV rays one of them. Many mutations or one mutation in a big portion of the DNA can cause disorders because it changes the way the DNA will be (in the final instance) translated to proteins.
