Five siblings picked 5 pounds of apples. Two sisters will share 3 pounds of apples equally and 3 brothers will share 2 pounds of the apples equally. In which group does each sibling get a greater amount of apples?

Since two sisters share 3 pounds of apples equally, then each sister gets:


(3)/(2)=1.5\text{ pounds}

then, if the three brothers share 2 pounds, then they each get:


(2)/(3)=0.66\text{ pounds}

as we can see, the sisters get a greater amount of apples
