You can follow the steps shown below in order to reduce it:

1. Try to reduce the fractions of the Mixed numbers. In this case, you can notice that the fractions cannot be reduced.

2. Since it cannot be reduced, you can find the difference as following:

- You must subtract the Whole numbers part:


12-4=8

- Now you can subtract the fractions:


(20-1)/(25)=(19)/(25)

- Finallt, you must combine the Whole number obtained above and the Fraction part. So you get:


=8(19)/(25)
