y = -(8/12)X + b

replace x= 3, y=2

b = y + (8/12)X = 2 + (8/12)•3= 2+2=4

Then equation is wrote

y= (-8/12)X + 4

Now find if this lines pass through point E(18,-8)

Divide by X

y/X = (-8/12) + 4/x

-8/18 = -8/12 + 4/18

then

-12/18 = -8/12

And cross multiply

-12•12 = -8•18

-144= -144

Then answer is YES,. this line pass through point E (18,-8)
