Remember that the surface area of a rectangular prism can be found using:


SA=2lw+2wh+2lh

If we replace our values:

l = 2.4

h = 3.6

w = 4.2

We got that:


\begin{gathered} SA=2(2.4)(4.2)+2(4.2)(3.6)+2(2.4)(3.6) \\ SA=20,16+30,24+17,28 \\ SA=67,68 \end{gathered}

Then, the surface area of this rectangular prism is 67.68 yd2.
