The equation is


P=1900+90\cdot N

Whatever happens, she receives 1900; if she sells copies of that specific book, he receives more (additional) money. The total pay is thus what she receives whatever happens plus the additional money (which is a product of 90 with the number of sold copies of that specific book).

For the second part, we just need to evaluate N in 29.


P(29)=1900+90\cdot(29)=4510
