The given inequality :

-3x\ge9

Simplify :

Multiply both side by (-1) and reverse the inequality :

\begin{gathered} -3x\ge9 \\ (-1)(-3x)\leq(-1)9 \\ 3x\leq(-9) \end{gathered}

Divide the inequality by 3:

\begin{gathered} (3x)/(3)\leq((-9))/(3) \\ x\leq(-3) \end{gathered}

i.e. x is less than or equal to (-3)

Solution : x ≤ (-3)

so,

x is lies in the half open interval of - infinity to (-3)

Interval Notation : (-infinity, -3]

Answer:
