Using the formula for the area of a circle

A=\pi r^2

Where r is the radius of the circumference.

But, the problem gives us the diameter, to find the radius just divide the diameter by 2, then r = d/2 = 20/2 = 10cm, apply it to the formula

\begin{gathered} A=\pi(10)^2 \\ \\ A=100\pi \\ \\ A\approx314.2\text{ cm}^2 \end{gathered}Final answer

The area of the circle is 314.2 cm²
