4x+3y=12

this is a linear equation

For x=0

4(0)+3y=12

3y=12

y=4

the y-intercept is the point (0,4)

Find the x-intercept

(value of x when the value of y is zero)

For y=0

4x+3(0)=12

the x-intercept is the point (3,0)
