Answer:

pH affects enzyme activity as the closer the enzyme is to neutral (pH 7) the higher the rate of reaction. The further the pH from neutral, the lower rate due to the enzyme denaturing and not functioning as efficiently. pH 8 had the highest activity because the enzyme is at its optimum pH here and pH 14 had the lowest activity because the enzyme denatures in conditions that are too alkaline.
