The shaded portion of a strip shows the amount of oil used in a recipe. It is required to find the percent of oil left after the recipe.

Notice that 4 out of 5 of the strip is shaded. This means that 1 out of 5 is left.

Hence, the fraction of oil left is:

(1)/(5)

Convert the fraction to a percentage by multiplying by 100%:

(1)/(5)*100\%=(100)/(5)\%=20\%

The percentage of oil left is 20%
