I saw him in the moonlight 
His face was pale and cold 
He whispered in her ear 
And took her hand to hold
He led her to the graveyard 
Where the tombstones stood like teeth 
He kissed her on the lips 
And stole her soul beneath
He was a ghost, a phantom 
A lover from the past 
He came to claim his bride 
And make their love last
But I was there, I saw it I tried to stop him, but in vain 
He looked at me with pity And said, "She's mine again."
He vanished with her body And left me all alone 
He took my love, my life, my heart And left me with a stone
