The highest temperature recorded in the town of Westgate this summer was 95°F. Last winter, the lowest temperature recorded was −5°F. Find the difference between these extremes.

100° because since it’s subract you minus and since the value is negative you take it as well 95-(-5) = 95+5 = 100
