find the gradient of the line -
3 - -2/ -8-4 = 5/-12
then sub this value into y=mx+c
y=(5/-12)x + c
then sub in one of the given coordinates
3 = (5/-12)(-8) + c
c= 3/ (5/-12 x -8)
