<9 and <11 are in the corresponding position, then

If line c is parallel to line d, then


\angle9=\angle11

Since <9 = 119 degrees, then

<11 = 119 degrees

Since <11 and <16 are vertically opposite angles, then


\angle11=\angle16

Since <11 = 119 degrees, then

<16 = 119 degrees

Add the measures of <11 and <16


\angle11+\angle16=119+119=238^(\circ)

The sum of the measures of <11 and <16 is 238 degrees
