You have the following function:


g(x)=(1)/(2)x

The parent function of the previous expression is:


f(x)=x

The graph of the previous functions is as follow:

the red line is g(x) and the blue line is f(x).

You can notice that g(x) is one half of f(x), which can be observed in the slope of the line.
