Amplitude is the one half of the difference between the maximum and minimum values of y.

From the graph, the maximum value is 6 and minimum value is -6.

Find the amplitude.


\begin{gathered} \text{Amplitude}=(1)/(2)(6-(-6)) \\ =(1)/(2)\cdot12 \\ =6 \end{gathered}
