In order to identify wich one is the better deal we need to calculate the price per litter of each, the one with lower price per litter will be the better one. To do that we have to divide the price of the soda by the capacity of the bottle. This is done below:


\begin{gathered} peps\text{ = }(1.49)/(2)=\text{ }0.745 \\ \text{coke = }(0.99)/(1.25)\text{ = }0.792 \end{gathered}

The pepsi costs $0.745 for every litter, while the coke costs $0.792, therefore the coke is the better deal.
