log_4 (4x) – log_4 (2) = 3

log_4 (4x) = log_4(4) + log_4(x)

log_4 (2) = 0.5

log_4(4) + log_4(x) - 0.5 = 3

1 + log_4(x) - 0.5 = 3

log_4(x) = 3 + 0.5 - 1 = 2.5

log_4(x) = 2.5

x = 4 ^(2.5) = 32

x = 32

Answer:

x = 32
