to calculate this distance we must calculate the perimeter of the circumference as follows


c=2\cdot\pi\cdot r

where r is the radius,and the radius is half the diameter, therefore


r=(80)/(2)=40

replacing:


\begin{gathered} c=2\cdot3.11\cdot40 \\ c=248.8\cong249 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the answer is 249 meters
