the amount of paints are,

black = 3 gallons

blue = 3 gallons

white = 4 gallons

total paints = 3 + 3 + 4 = 10 gallons,

ratio of black paint to total paint is,

= 3/10

= 3 : 10

thus, the ratio is 3 : 10
