Solution:

First, we would change each of the mixed fractions to improper fractions;

Then, the least common multiple of 8 and 7 is;

So, the sum of the fraction is;


\begin{gathered} (45)/(8)+(48)/(7)=(315+384)/(56) \\ (45)/(8)+(48)/(7)=(699)/(56) \\ (45)/(8)+(48)/(7)=12(27)/(56) \end{gathered}
