When dividing decimals, what place value should our quotients go to (if necessary)?

Quotients are the results of division

Now, the place value is entirely dependent on the comparism between the divisor and the dividend

Let us use the numerator and denominator for easy understanding

If they are of the same value, in case of 0.56/0.28 for example

The place value here will be in the units

So what we are saying is that the place value is dependent on the values that we are dividing and how big of a magnitude they compare to each other
