When we have a function, like F(x), and we want to calculate its value for an specific value of x, we replace x with the value and calculate.

In this case F(-4) is the value of the function when x=-4, so we replace x with -4 and calculate:

F(4)=(-4)^2_{}+4=16+4=20

Answer: F(-4) = 20
