Tropical forests have the best biodiversity and fundamental productivity of any of the terrestial biomes. The tropical rainforests biome has very high annual rainfall, high average temperature, nutrient-poor soil, and high levels of biodiversity. Rainforests are the undisrupted champions of biodiversity among the world's ecosystems which consists far higher number of species on a per-area basis. It fall along the equator and receive a large amount of precipitation.

Most temperate deciduous forests have a very high biodiversity index because the biome houses a very high density of plant life. It contains a countless number of species of decicuous trees that also house a innumerous animal species. It is characterized as regions with high levels of precipitation, humidity, and a variety of deciduous trees.
