A store had 3 blue chairs for $35.07 or 5 red chairs for $58.15. Which color chair has alower unit price?

To answer this question, we have to find the unit price of each of the options. To do it, we have to divide the total cost by the number of chairs that can be purchased.

For the blue chairs:


(35.07)/(3)=11.69


(58.15)/(5)=11.63

The red chairs have a lower unit price ($11.63).
