The process of transcription is carried out by the RNA polymerase and a number of accesory proteins called transcription factors. Of course, the DNA that serves as a template is involved, and the ribose sugars and nucleotides Adenine, Uracil, Cytosine and Guanine, that will form the RNA molecule that is being synthetized.
