In order to prove that the triangles are congruent, we can use the following statements and reasons:

Statement: CE = EA

Reason: Given

Statement: DE = EB

Reason: Given

Statement: Reason: Vertical angles are congruent.

Since we have two pairs of congruent sides and the angles between these sides are also congruent, the triangles ABE and CDE are congruent by SAS (side-angle-side case of congruency).
