How does ticks come into contact with hosts?

Okay, so we have to consider that those little parasites (ticks), can perceive the environment just like other animals in terms of physicochemical properties, like air composition, temperature, and soil pH (like the one of the animal's sweat, or fur).

Having this in mind, they could recognize their host using these signals to orientate themselves.
