Solution

\begin{gathered} -4x+4y=-12 \\ y=-6x+18 \end{gathered}

Using substitution method

substitute equation 2 into 1

\begin{gathered} -4x+4(-6x+18)=-12 \\ -4x-24x+72=-12 \\ -28x=-12-72 \\ -28x=-84 \\ divide\text{ both sides by -28} \\ x=3 \end{gathered}

Now substitute x= 3 in equation 2

\begin{gathered} y=-6(3)+18 \\ y=0 \end{gathered}

The final answer
