To find angle x,

we know that,

When two parallel lines are crossed by a transversal, the pair of angles formed on the inner side of the parallel lines, but on the opposite sides of the transversal are called alternate interior angles. These angles are always equal.

angle y and 55 degree are alternative interior angle

we get that,


y=55

Also we have that, the angle of a straightline is 180 degree,

we get that,


\angle x+\angle y=180
55+x=180

we get,


x=180-55
x=125

x=125

Answer is: angle x=125
