Given:


(12)/(13)+(-(1)/(13))

Adding a negativen number is the same as subtracting that number, so:


(12)/(13)-(1)/(13)

Since both denominators (bottom number ) are equal we can subtract the numerators ( top numbers)


((12-1))/(13)=(11)/(13)

Answer:


(11)/(13)
