Answer is k = 4
Step by step
Finding the constant of proportionality is the same as finding rate of change, or slope.
Here we have the given point of (1, 4)
y /x = 4 /1 or 4
We can see another possible point on the graph, (2, 8)
y /x = 8 /2 or 4
