Based on the narrator's account of his thoughts and actions in the story, evaluate whether you think he is a guilty, evil murderer or an innocent man plagued by mental illness. (tell-tale heart)

You are lucky I'm reading this book in class lol.

Answer: An innocent man plagued by mental illness.

“The Tell-Tale Heart” is conventionally read as a moralizing story about guilt and innocence. He cared about the old man, showed guilt for his actions, and showed delusion and other signs of irrational thinking after murdering him.
