What was the case of Texas v. Johnson (1989) about? What was the ruling?

Answer: Texas v Johnson was about a man burning the American flag to protest the new Ronald Reagan policies. It was eventually ruled by the Supreme Cour, that flag burning is in fact protected by the First Amendment to the Constituion (free speech). It was ruled by a majority of 5-4.
