Hello!

What is the standard form of the parabola:

\hookrightarrow y=(x-h)^2+k

  • (h,k): vertex's coordinate

=> h: x-coordinate of vertex

=> k: y-coordinate of vertex

Since our vertex is (1,-8)

\hookrightarrow \text{Our equation is }y=(x-1)^2}-8 <== Answer

Hope that helps!
