Are lipids hydrophilic or hydrophobic? Explain why.

hydrophobic, lipids have many non polar covalent bonds. where as water has polar covalent bonds. water can only mix with other substances that have polar covalent bonds. so lipid and water don’t mix. just like if you were to try to mix water and oil.
