In which situation is it appropriate to use the tú form

Speaking to a singular person.

Example: Tu tienes agua?
Do YOU have water

Tu vs Usted;

As a general rule, use usted when speaking to officials, bosses and strangers. If you’re not an adult you address everyone older than you as mentioned above. Contrary to usted needing to be used for bosses and officials, you can still use Tu with a coworker or even a manager if you have a relationship with them which is the key to using Tu.

Answer:

when speaking to people your age or younger than you

Step-by-step explanation:

tu is an informal version of the word "usted" which in english is the word "you". "usted" should only be used when addressing someone like your parents, or grandparents,teachers etc.
