Use the Distributive Property and mental math to find the product.

Please Explain how to do it. Everyone else is saying the answer is 440, which I know.

Well first you’re doing multiplication doing 88•5
You can split it up into 80 and 8
so it becomes a lot easier

80•5=400
8•5=40

Then combine them again to get

400+40=440
