Answer:

When the plant is carrying out photosynthesis it needs Carbon Dioxide which is present more in the air than in the leaf so it diffuses through small pores called stomata to be used for the process of photosynthesis.Due to photosynthesis,Oxygen levels in the leaf increase so it diffuses out of the cell through stomata into the air.
