Rosie The Riveter was an icon made during World War 2.

Featured in campaigns and on propaganda, she was used to recruit women to become workers for the defense industries.

She was a character used to make women believe they can accomplish these hard tasks just as men had already been doing with the slogan "We Can Do It ! "
