The ratio of brown marbles to blue marbles is 3:2.
We can take note of what we know:
• There are 18 brown marbles
• There are 12 blue marbles
• There are 36 total marbles
Let’s plug the ratio of brown:blue marbles in:
18:12
Dividing both numbers by 6 will result in 3:2.
Therefore, the ratio of brown to blue marbles is 3:2 with there being more brown marbles present.
