How would the snakes be affected if there is no spider?

The snake population would decrease because in teh food chain, you need the producers for the spider to eat, and if there was no spiders to eat the producers, the producer population would increase, and the snake population would decrease because there would be no food for the snake to eat.

Sorry, I had to elaborate, didnt know how to give a simple answer.
