How is an atom of the metal calcium most likely to attain a full outermost energy level of electrons?

On the periodic table, calcium is located in group 2. This means that calcium has two electrons on its outermost shell. For calcium to have a complete octet it must lose these two outermost electrons which are also called valence electrons.
