During the American Revolution, Britain created the Proclamation Line of 1763 which prohibited the colonists from settling on Native American territory. The colonists felt extremely upset by this rule because they thought the Proclamation would be used by the British to keep an eye on the colonists and control them. Colonists decided to rebel against the Proclamation and moved westwards into Native lands. This eventually forced the Natives to leave their land. Therefore, I would argue that the Natives were better off before the American Revolution.
