Greetings from Brasil...

We can solve this question through the rule of 3....

Remember that:

90min = 1.5h = (3/2)h

Then

time (h) inch of rain

3/2 --------------- 1/2

24 --------------- X

(3/2)·X = 24·(1/2)

X = 24·(1/2)·(2/3)

X = 24·(1/3)

Answer: A

Explanation:

The given values are every 90min, 1/2 in rain falls.

You want to find out how much rain there is in 24 hours.

In order to do this, you need to find out how many 90min sections there are in 24hrs.

1. Convert 24hrs to minutes

24hrs * 60min = 1440min

2. Find out how many 90min sections there are in 1440 minutes

1440min / 90min = 16 times

That means 1/2in of rain happens 16 times
