Prophet SAW (PBUH) asked the people not to follow false gods. he told them that he SAW is a prophet of Allah and asked them to accept Islam. they thought that he was against their gods and their ancestors. they opposed this new faith so much that Prophet SAW had to ask believers to migrate to Yathrib.
