Why do you think current governments, including the United States, continue to collect similar data in censuses today?

The US census helps to figure out how all the money in federal funding are spent every year for the next decade. It helps communities be equal in the amount of schools, hospitals, roads, and any public places. This is why it’s important we still do it.
