Why did the Bronze Age follow the Copper Age

The Chalcolithic or Copper Age is the transitional period between the Neolithic and the Bronze Age. It is taken to begin around the mid-5th millennium BC, and ends with the beginning of the Bronze Age proper, in the late 4th to 3rd millennium BC, depending on the region.

The Bronze Age followed the Copper Age because Bronze was harder and more durable than copper at the time, which made bronze a better metal for tools and weapons. Also, making it better to use than copper, which is why the Bronze Age followed after the Copper Age.
