What happens to the potential energy and kinetic energy at the top of the loop?

Answer:

As the ball continues around the loop, its kinetic energy decreases while its potential energy increases. At the top of the loop, if the ball has sufficient kinetic energy, it can continue around the loop without leaving the track. If not, it falls away from the track as it approaches the top of the loop

Answer:By taking the coaster to the top of a hill, it increases the coasters potential energy. This allows the coaster to gain velocity and increase acceleration as it rolls down the hill from all the potential energy converting to kinetic energy. This gives the thrill of the high speeds that that every one loves.
